Located in the midst of the Essaoira Hills, Morocco, Jardin Des Douars is a beautiful 24-room guest ksar (palace).The guesthouse constructed with the charm of Moroccon traditions and materials, provides a relaxing and natural setting for its guests. Guests can be spoilt of choice by strolling through the properties beautiful garden, get pampered under the dome of the hammam, relax by the poolside, enjoy a 36 hole golf course, as well as many other sporting activities.
In 2010, Le Jardin des Douars was significantly developing their accommodation capacity; therefore they required a simple and easy-to-use solution to schedule their bookings.
For them Hotelogix was the obvious choice, Grégoire Aubron, owner of Jardin Des Dours says, “We chose Hotelogix for many reasons: simplicity, intelligibility, online and multi user’s accessibility, capacity to manage different points of sale such as restaurants or spa, and cost of implementing Hotelogix. This last point was the key, since we are a small-sized hotel, we would not have been able to afford high set up costs.”
One of the main concerns faced by La Jardin des Douars centered on online bookings. They wanted to first offer their guests an option to book through their website. The Hotelogix online booking solution integrated seamlessly with their website and functions efficiently. The next step was to share the hotel’s room availabilities with different Channel Partners; such as travel agencies, tour operators and online booking centers like Expedia or Booking.com. Mr. Auborn says, “Hotelogix provides solutions to broadcast our hotel’s availabilities to numerous travel agencies through the Pegasus channel. It can also integrate other channels to automatically update room availabilities in real time with our online booking partner, which is a great time-saver and very cost effective.”
The main benefits seen by Jardin Des Douars has been; streamlining of all their bookings and invoicing processes for all points of sales, great analysis of performance due to Hotelogix’s specific reports, and an increase in revenue for being able to manage room distribution in real time across various booking channels. In addition, they are happy to be able to compile a well-structured database of their guests which can then be used for their direct marketing strategies.
