Hotelogix does a Kick-Ass performance at HITEC 2010, Orlando!
I would like to summarize our HITEC experience and how I think we faired in this event which is considered to be the Mecca of Technology for Hospitality.

I would like to summarize our HITEC experience and how I think we faired in this event which is considered to be the Mecca of Technology for Hospitality.
This Year 2010 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC 21st June to 24th June.) was all geared towards exploring the integration of current technology trends within the hospitality industry, this was attended by over 4,500 hospitality professionals - a 23 percent increase from HITEC 2009. It offered a one-stop shop for essential education, access to experts and hospitality technology vendors, networking with top leaders in the industry and the resources to find cost-effective ways to improve company bottom lines.
Today World Economy is still uncertain and technology use in day-to-day activities is essential to stay level with technology growth, and keep it as a part of growing operations,HFTP did a great job on HITEC event in Orlando by maintaining a clear balance between technology and operations.
This year HITEC exhibit hall featured hundreds of exhibitors announcing new products, showcasing their signature technologies and discussing the future of hospitality technology.
Hotelogix was a clear leader among all the players who presented PMS Cloud technology ( PMS on SaaS) Being a startup that does not have external funding, but lot of internal belief, it was quite a bold decision to participate in this event as it was expensive to the core, where 30 cans of Soda cost you 300 dollars, internet was $100 a day and so on and so forth. Friends and well wishers were quite surprised we are participating in it, traveling all the way from India to Orlando, 3 people, with luggage full of brochures and backdrop
The following are the highlights of our success:
Only Four cloud based property management systems were exhibiting. Before participating we were not sure about other technology revelations being made by some major or startup players in Cloud space when it comes to Product offering, but after participating we could see that we were the only one to have a comprehensive PURE CLOUD based offering .
2500+ Installation Opportunity - A Company from US, that has ~2500 installations of its client server based system, contemplating to convert their customers to cloud based offering and use Hotelogix for it. They want to white label the product. This is a big Opportunity, this should give us 3000+ installations in 2 years time if things materialize.

A Hospitality Group – A Company from Panama, has had a family business of Hotels for generations, users of Fidelio, looked at the system and was ecstatic to see what the system could do. Ricardo, the Owner of this hospitality company, was just passing by the booth in a hurry for a scheduled meeting, ended up spending more than 2 hours looking at the product and discussing
Not just using it in his 5 starred hotels, but also represent Hotelogix in 6 countries as a Marketing and Sales Channel Partner. Ricardo in his words says … “This could be the next big thing that can happen to hospitality industry and has the capability to address the world”.
Hospitality management company from UAE – This group, that is one of the leading groups providing gamete of services to more than 250 existing properties in UAE, was too impressed with the concept and the way we have taken cloud so seriously and come out with a comprehensive offering.
They were very confident that it has a very strong value proposition and could make serious inroads in their region. They were confident that Hotelogix could replace a lot of existing client server systems in UAE, and were very sure that they would be working with us on it.
Other that these big highlights, there were quite a few Hotels/resports/chains who visited us and showed their appreciation for our technology. fellow exhibitors also congratulated is for what we have done and our plans with Hotelogix. We made some great friends and all in all it was an experience that im sure we would not forget for a long long time.
HITEC 2010 was exhilarating!!! And I thought we announced to this Fraternity of Technology providers to Hospitality that Hotelogix has ARRIVED!!
