HMS Infotech has benefited immensely from capital infusions by angel investor Mumbai Angels and co-investors Accel Partners.
HMS Infotech received an unequivocal vote of confidence in HOTELOGIX when Mumbai Angels, the first premium Angel network in India, invested in the company. Barely five years old, Mumbai Angels has built a name for itself when it comes to investing in high-potential start-ups. The Angel investor is enthusiastic about HOTELOGIX, which “addresses the crying need of management in the global hospitality sector”, according to Gautam Shewakramani, member Mumbai Angels, who has joined the HMS Infotech Board. Vice-President Anil Joshi of Mumbai Angels is impressed with the company’s offering to the hospitality industry, saying that it was “no surprise that HOTELOGIX has garnered so many customers worldwide in such a short period of operations”.
Set up in 2006, Mumbai Angels provides a unique platform to start-up and very early stage companies by bringing them face-to-face with successful entrepreneurs, professionals and executives looking for suitable investments. Many members of Mumbai Angels have prior Silicon Valley experience. In addition to its capital offerings, Mumbai Angels opens the door to vast networks in India and abroad which provide quality mentoring on strategy and execution.
HOTELOGIX has also impressed Accel Partners, early stage institutional investors in HMS Infotech. Accel Partners have mentored several start-ups in their quarter century of operations worldwide, and their investment in the company is an indication of their belief in HOTELOGIX.
